Threads by Wiss
Threads by Wiss is a club I founded at my school which focuses on the specific intersection between the beauty of fiber arts and the negative environmental impacts of the textile industry.
Threads by Wiss uses fiber arts as a medium to promote sustainability and provide accessible alternatives to minimize textile waste both in and outside of our school community.
Last April, we raised over $250 at Earthfest, a local fair hosted by the Ambler Environmental Advisory Council to promote sustainability and celebrate Earth Day!
Threads by Olivia
Threads by Olivia is the product of my boredom during 2020 quarantine. As I began to receive several commissions from friends and family, I eventually opened an Etsy store named Threads by Olivia and managed an Instagram and Tiktok page to show my creations to the rest of the world. Later, I would sell in-person at flea and craft markets as well.
Fun fact! While I had to close shop once asynchronous school became a thing of the past, I used the money I earned from Threads by Olivia to purchase a laptop, which sparked my passion in video editing and film that continues today!
